Root - a case study

2017©

The cold hands of tightly packed guests met each other on the heated bricks, giving a sense of closeness. Flavors, smoke from the ovens, music, dishes, surroundings, nature, stories of FTT members about the process and family stories provided guests with a wide spectrum of experiences.

The project's finale was an all-day event that took place on a 200-year-old farm in the Giant Mountains. After breakfast, guests were taken on a trip to the forest, where relaxation exercises were held. Then our original film "The Root" was screened in an improvised cinema room, and after the screening the reception began. Food was prepared using ancient methods in five outdoor ovens and a smokehouse. The energy center of the event was an underground furnace, producing smoke for the smokehouse and heat for the heating system.
